In 1910, a group of neighbors, who professed the anarchy ideals, created a theater in opposition to the Teatro Municipal 1.º de Mayo, which represented the aristocracy of Santa Fe at the time.

It has a lovely comfortable auditorium with an occupancy capacity of about 550. This cultural center was remodeled according to the demands of modern times.

The Teatro de la Abadía Cultural Association is a civil non-for-profit organization that opened in September 2000, and whose main objective is the spreading of culture through drama and other artistic activities.

During weekdays, this theater offers for all ages courses and workshops on art, drama, puppetry, salsa and jazz dance, among others. On weekends, it brings an annual program of events to the public in general.

Since the beginning, Santa Fe had a renowned theatrical tradition. On October 5, 1905, this theater was opened with an occupancy capacity of 850. The night of the opening, the Opera Company made its debut.

This beautiful building matches the Louis XV style. An impressive chandelier that belonged to the Cabildo of Santa Fe highlights the main hall. A semicircled auditorium was colorfully decorated and the dome was painted by Nazareno Orlandi.

This old Coliseum was being remodeled (1971-1973) and two smaller rooms were built: the first was named after Leopoldo Marechal with an occupancy capacity of 250, and the other was built for rehearsals and ballet practice.

Nowadays, there is an adjacent room, Juan P. Franze, where the Museo del Teatro is open for tourists.

In 1999, Cinemark Santa Fe was opened, but it was later moved to Shopping La Ribera, the most modern and innovative entertainment center in the city port. Thus, Cinemark asserts itself as a unique cinema complex built with the state-of-the-art facilities to meet Santa Fe and Parana market demands.
